Visiting Officiants

The Minister's Flat

The (strictly kosher) Minister's flat is available for anyone wishing to stay at a minimal cost in return for conducting services over Shabbat and/or festivals.

In the delightful and historic city of Plymouth it would be an ideal place for a holiday, whilst assisting with conducting services.

For further information phone Mrs Pat Goodman 01752 661710
or Mrs Anna Kelly 01822 614203

Later in August we will be delighted to see the return of Rabbi Lister  and his charming family.  The date will be confirmed nearer the time.

Shabbat Services are always as follows:

Erev Shabbat - every Friday evening at 6 pm
 and
Shabbat Shacharit  -  every Saturday morning at 10 am.
Please kindly support our services with your presence.
After the service you are invited to Kiddush in the Vestry to stay for refreshments and a chat.

It would be a pleasure to see you there for the services and to make a minyan.

Elkan Levy

From time to time Elkan Levy conducts the services.

Elkan was educated in London, Israel and New York. He is well-known as a dynamic lecturer, deeply interested in British Jewry, its past and its future and we are always delighted when he visits us.

Therefore as Director of the Office of Small Communities, the Reverend Elkan Levy is the person who acts as our mentor in religious and spiritual matters.

Here he explains the scrolls and ark at an Open Day at the Synagogue.
